ROCKR is a classic rock station that focuses on music and artists from the 60's, 70's, 80's; we also have a few artists from the 90's.

This radio station was born out of a passion to bring music to the internet airwaves other than just the top 100 hits of the day. Though we have many hit songs in our music library, and we play those songs, we are proud to bring many great tunes that were never prevalent on radio stations back in their day or on classic rock stations today.  It is our intent to stream both the hits and deep cuts on our station and offer a variety of music not found on any AM/FM station and seldom found on any internet radio stations. Unlike Satellite Radio, we are free of charge and will have an occasional live DJ to take your requests. We hope that you, the listeners, embrace our philosophy and tune us in for a variety of great music.

We are a free internet classic rock radio station. At this time, we have about 12,000 tunes in our library. You may find a few non-rock selections in the library such as Big Band music (Michael Buble, Sinatra) along with some Soul, Funk, Motown, Vocal (Tom Jones) and Christmas music. Outside of that we are a rock station with most of our collection including various styles of rock music through many decades.

As of yet, we have not had time to go back and remove some the tracks that we don't want to have on the station. To expedite the process of getting up and running, we simply extracted full CD's to MP3 without being selective about the songs we included and in some cases, we took some CD's with perhaps one good song, or outside of the rock genre and extracted those too. As we progress here at ROCKR, we will remove our least favorite tunes that we do not feel are appropriate and drop those selections into a vault in case someone wanted to request those songs at a later time.

If you here the occasional song that seems out of place for a rock station it may be removed in the future as we work towards fine-tuning our music library and removing some songs from the rotation. The good news is that we currently have a large library with many good tunes and we will expand the library with additional music purchases.

Our intention is to have a large selection and variety of rock music to keep the rotation fresh which is much more than you will ever get on your traditional classic rock station on FM Radio.
